Update from Race Director

Registration activity has slowed down, but there are still plenty of spots left for our little indoor marathon. Next week we will be featured in the Active.com Newsletter - Chicago Edition, which will be sent to 51,000+ people so there could be another burst of registration activity once that goes out.

Also, we are now accepting registration by mail. You can mail the registration forms (available at the InStep website) to InStep Running & Walking Centers, 403 E. Buffalo Street, Milwaukee, WI 53202. You can still drop them off at the store or fax them as well.

As was previously mentioned, we will be holding social/training runs at the Pettit Center every Saturday morning from October 4 until the marathon. The runs will begin at 8 a.m. and participants will receive a discounted track admission (not sure of the exact amount yet...the regular fee is $3). The purpose of the runs are for runners to get to know each other and to get experience running in the Pettit Center. Also, if you have any questions about the race, someone from InStep will be there to answer them. We can also help you set up a training schedule if you need assistance with that. Runners are free to go as many miles as they'd like each Saturday. It would be nice to see 10-20 of you each Saturday but we realize that the weather is still pretty nice in October and November and you may want to stay outside, so there may not be much activity at these runs until we get closer to the race. We'll give it a try and see what happens.

And we have realized that we forgot to include a choice for shirt sizes on the original registration form. If you have already registered, we will be emailing you to ask for your size in the next few days. An updated registration form with shirt size options will be up on the website in the next few hours. Sorry about that.
